My son has epilepsy and short achilles tendons he has had 3 attempts at lengthin by plaster cast ,?

is it worth trying articulated molded ankle foot orthosis, he is nearly six years old we do not want to try surgery as his epilepsy is not under control by medication as yet have tried three different medicines so far
