Does smoking the pith of a banana skin make you hallucinate?

I don't know maybe it's a complete myth, but I was told the other day that by drying out the pith of a banana skin, making it into blocks and crumbling it into a powder and smoking it is a legal high, or hallucination? Is this right, or am I just too gullible?
