Effects of Isopropyl Alcohol?

I had some Isopropyl Alcohol, rubbing alcohol on a q-tip, then I rested it on a surface, few hours later, I rested a cookie on that same spot, and the cookie tasted funny, I know that rubbing alcohol is dangerous is this enough to cause sickness or blindness thanks
