Problem with VISTA and CD/DVD reader/writer. How do I get CD/DVD reader/writer to work with Vista?

ok first of all if the drive came in your computer from the factory it is compatible or they wouldn't have put it in there. second of all have you switched disk types recently. a lot of drives are really picky about what kind of blank disc they like. try a different brand of blank disc and see if it helps. for example i have some memorex discs that work fine in my laptop but wont work on my desktop . good luck:0)
