Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - U.S. politics?

Does anyone else see the connection? I mean, I'm not trying to say that the U.S. government is as evil as Lord Voldemort or any crazy fantasy story like that but do you see the underlying connection; isolation of non-white races such as Iranians, Iraqis, Afghans, Mexicans, Cubans while putting forward whites and Americans is similar to the pureblood/mudblood argument, Ministry officials easily are overcome by Imperius curse is similar to Bush administration bribes/blackmail, takeover of floo network, radio channels is similar to wiretapping, etc. I'm guessing Rowling did this on purpose but then exaggerated and twisted it to make it more entertaining and less controversial (Maybe British government has done similar crimes).
